Baked by Steph is a highly creative, digitally-driven bakery specialising in delicious, hand-made treats delivered across the UK.

Since launching in January 2019, we have become known for our unique, instagram-worthy sugar cookies, cakes and macarons and are proud to have worked with incredible brands such as Disney, Selfridges, Meta and Tiffany 7 Co. to name a few.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a talented and creative Baker/Pastry Chef to join our small but growing team.

THE ROLE
The primary responsibility of this role is to support our Head Pastry Chef with production and admin, and to produce cakes, macarons and sugar cookies to the highest standards.

The ideal person will have a keen eye for detail, be able to demonstrate exceptional baking and decorating skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. A warm and positive approach in line with our brand values is really important too.

This is the perfect opportunity for a passionate baker / pastry chef who enjoys creative input and who is looking to develop their skills within a growing business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Producing biscuits, macarons, cakes and other baked goods to a high standard
● Contributing to menu development
● Managing inventory
● Supporting the Head Pastry Chef with production and admin
● Helping ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety regulations

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
● Previous experience in a similar role within a bakery
● Strong baking and decorating skills (macarons, cakes, cookie dough making)
● Someone with good initiative and problem solving skills
● Someone motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment
● Someone with a proactive attitude towards projects and who can multitask and prioritise
● Excellent attention to detail

A LITTLE MORE INFO
● Salary circa £29,000 per annum dependent on experience
● Location: Bethnal Green, E2 9LE (right beside the station, Central Line)
● Mon-Fri, 7:00am-4:00pm (no night shifts or weekends!)
